All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja scored an unbeaten 175 off 228 balls. His innings included 17 fours and 3 sixes. Due to this innings, Jadeja made a world record. He has become the first batsman in the world to score three century partnerships in an innings with players of the sixth wicket or below. Before Jadeja, no player could do this batsman.

Ravindra Jadeja along with Rishabh Pant scored 104 runs for the sixth wicket in the Mohali Test. He shared a 130-run partnership with Ravichandran Ashwin for the 7th wicket. During this, Ashwin got out on a personal score of 61 runs. He also hit 8 fours while facing 82 balls. Jadeja played an unbeaten partnership of 103 runs with Mohammed Shami for the 9th wicket. Shami contributed 20 runs in this partnership.
